Last night the Brewers Association presented one of the largest commercial beer competitions to date, the 2014 World Beer Cup Awards and Oregon came out with a solid 19 medals including 9 Golds, 3 Silvers, 6 Bronze and the best Small Brewing Company award. The awards were presented at the conclusion of Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America® in Denver, Colorado and are arguably the most prestigious awards even more so than the Great American Brewers Festival. The World Beer Cup is held only every other year during the CBC and instead of just American entries like the GABF the World Beer Cup is literally worldwide.

SOMETHING'S BREWINGIn THE BLUE RIDGE.

Simply put, we’re all about brewing true-to-style beer at the speed of nature. Which means we employ time-honored brewing techniques with a team of hard-working, envelope-pushing, brewing dynamos who focus on the tasty traditions of Germany, England and Belgium.

To make our hand-crafted recipes come out just right, we still use the German-designed Zeiman-Miyake system we started with back in ‘08 everyday. It pumps out 8.5 barrels a day, but we’ve also grown to a 120 barrel fully automated, fully high-tech German Rolec brewing system. No matter what we use, we make sure each beer is brewed with personality and integrity of flavor whether it’s a 12% ABV Barleywine or our 4.5% Gold Leaf Lager. And every single beer we make has its own unique recipe and brewing process. Which is as hard as it sounds.

Because of that, yeah, we win some nice awards and medals almost every year from the World Beer Cup or the Great American Beer Festival. And even a few world and national titles. But we don’t like to brag too much. Making great beer is our pride and joy.
